HHS is Recruiting Community Board Members

The Huron Health System (HHS) which includes the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital (AMGH) and South Huron Hospital (SHH) is recruiting for volunteer Community Members to join several of our committees.
As a Community Member on a Common Board Committee, you will assist in implementing our mission to provide excellent person-centred care, and our strategic vision to deliver a quality-driven healthcare system focused on the changing needs of our communities in Huron County.
Committee meetings are offered in hybrid formats, offering options of online or in person at our Goderich or Exeter site locations.
Huron Health System (HHS) is recruiting for the following Committees:
Governance & Nominating Committee
o The function of the Governance & Nominating Committee is to serve as a resource to the Common Board on matters related to effective Board governance structure and processes including Common Board membership and composition; Board orientation and development; Board and Board member performance and evaluation; and compliance with bylaws, legislation and regulations, and relevant governance policies. This committee meets monthly (Sept-June).
Recruitment and Retention Committee
o The function of the Recruitment and Retention Committee is to identify, recommend, develop and implement strategies to make Huron Health System (HHS) a recruitment destination and to achieve a sustainable clinical community.
If you have skills, experience or interests in the areas of governance, legal, health care, quality, communications, marketing, strategic planning, or risk management and can volunteer some of your valuable time, the HHS Common Board Nominating Sub Committee would like to hear from you.
Interested candidates should forward an Expression of Interest providing background information that will outline your skill set and experience on or before 4pm, Tuesday, August 13th, 2024
